In the case of the bridge over the La Vieja river, on the border between Quindío and Valle, and the entrance to the Coffee Region from the southwest of the country, the cause of its collapse is not clear.
“When we talk about 30-45 days, it is not a bridge that can be replaced with a cement structure. We are talking about structures such as military bridges, which are the ones that enable us to pass through and bridges that also serve on a permanent basis”, informed Minister Reyes.
In other words, it will not be a permanent step, and therefore, how to recover the fallen bridge is still being evaluated.
