Santo Domingo.-The Collegiate Court of Montecristi condemned 30 and 20 years in prison to two men found guilty of causing death to another to steal In his home, in an event that occurred in the Copey section, from the Pepillo Salcedo municipalityon December 2, 2023.
The Montecristi Prosecutor’s Office obtained the sentences against the Haitian Guegue Joseph and the Dominican José Luis Vargaswho were sentenced to 30 and 20 years in prison, respectively, after being convicted of violating articles 295, 304, 379 and 382 of the Dominican Criminal Code.
The convicted caused the death with a shot to Juan Carlos Díaz after they entered his home to steal.
