3-year sentence for brothers for not respecting curfew in Arequipa

A sentence of 3 years and 6 months suspended sentence was what brothers Diego and César Delgado received for not respect the curfew and violating the sanitary measures that were given against COVID-19 by not having masks, in addition to assault police officers.

According to the support of the Prosecutor’s Office, the young people were intervened in the Cayma district square on January 16, 2021 at 11:00 p.m., when one of them was arguing with his girlfriend.

Officers Ronald Pulcha Villegas and Edwin Alex Mamani intervened with the youngsters, but far from obeying and withdrawing. they beat the police.

After the arrest, the youths were denounced by the crime of violence and resistance to authority to the detriment of the troops and for violating sanitary measures against the coronavirus, since the Government had decreed a state of emergency overnight.

The magistrates of the Second Supraprovincial Criminal Collegiate of the Superior Court of Justice of Arequipa, also ordered the payment of the Civil repair of 500 soles for the attorney generals of the Ministries of the Interior and Health, in addition to 800 soles for each policeman.
