During the inauguration of the Expoferia Cacao y Ron Miranda 2022, the president affirmed that the perspectives that his administration has “are truly exciting.”

“Venezuela is growing in the real economy,” he stressed, to which he added the country was “strengthened in the face of the economic blockade.”

“The imperialist sanctions hurt us and also did us good, because they forced us to rebirth a new diversified, productive economy, we went to the countryside to produce food,” he said. “Venezuelan industry was revitalized, with science and technology applied to production processes, a fact that will strengthen this sector.

Likewise, Maduro invited Venezuelan companies to build the “export vocation” in the production processes, and urged to guarantee between 30% percent of their production to export chains.

“Producers must not only ensure national production, but must also open the paths to export,” he said.

On the other hand, Maduro took the opportunity to reject the recent statements by the US Undersecretary of State, Carrie Filipetti, who allegedly, according to the president, stated that “maximum pressure tends to work better than rapprochement” when it comes to Venezuela. and Cuba.

In this regard, the also president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), described Filipetti’s words as “arrogant and arrogant”, which denote “hatred and defeat, because we defeated them.”

He added that Venezuela has faced unilateral coercive measures, illegally imposed by the United States, with a revolutionary spirit.

“They were defeated by the will of an entire country with a single slogan, we have the right to life, to growth, to development (…) In Venezuela, a key historical battle has been waged for what is going to be the 21st century of humanity, for the future of the countries that want sovereignty, independence, the right to development and self-determination,” Maduro pointed out.

Likewise, he stressed that if Mexico achieves “a better destiny” compared to the United States, “it is opening the doors to a better destiny for Latin America and the Caribbean.”

In this sense, the Mexican ambassador to Venezuela urged him to convey the admiration of the Venezuelan people, given his position during the Mexican president’s tour.

“Convey my admiration, we take our hat off to López Obrador’s tour of the United States, everything possible to seek a better destination and if Mexico achieves a better destination compared to the United States, it is opening the doors to a better destination for all Latin America and the Caribbean, that is the truth”.
