The Public Ministry reported that Steven Antonio Alvelay Rendón (45) was sentenced to 28 years in prison for his responsibility in the sexual abuse of his 13-year-old stepdaughter, an incident reported on June 22, 2024 in the Vista al Sol neighborhood of San Félix, Caroní municipality in the state of Bolívar.
According to the investigation, that day, the teenager told her mother that her private parts bothered her because her stepfather had touched her vagina on repeated occasions, which is why the woman went to the regional police headquarters to file the respective complaint, the public body reported in a press release.
Under such circumstances, the aggressor was arrested at his home and placed under the command of the Public Ministry.
