The governor Nicolas Maduro led, this Thursday, February 2, the 24th anniversary of the Bolivarian revolution. The president toured the “Government Expo 2023” at the Teresa Carreño Theater where 34 stands were displayed.

Maduro said that one of the keys to the revolution is to draw inspiration and feed “spiritually and intellectually from the humble, from ordinary people, from simple people.”

At the same time, he pointed out that his government continues on the paths of national independence, popular sovereignty, direct democracy, dignity: “In 24 years we have built a homeland that is proof of all difficulties.” He urged the people to defend the union of the popular movement, the Bolivarian movement, the Chavista movement.

The ruler announced the delivery of 49 works and health centers in the national territory for the care of the people. In this way, he said that hospitals, popular clinics, research institutes, and Comprehensive Diagnostic Centers (CDI) made with the Military Community Brigades for Education and Health were delivered. (Bricomiles).

Among the states where these works were carried out, according to Maduro, are Aragua, Amazonas, Apure, Guárico; Trujillo; Lara, Yaracuy and La Guaira, which they arranged in Caracas. He pointed out that the Bricomiles delivered five equipped health centers for the workers assisted by the shocked me.

The president defended what he considers one of the great achievements of the revolution as the recovery of the national oil industry: “After almost 100 years of transnationalization of our oil industry, we began to think with our own heads, to work with our own hands and today we have reached the socialist management model of the Venezuelan oil and petrochemical industry.”

Just as he did when he presented his management report, in January, before the 2020 National Assembly (AN), Maduro assured that Venezuela closed 2022 with an economic growth of more than 15%.

“By January 2023, the country registered a national production protection rate of 10%, sovereign economic policies, tied to the country’s needs,” he said.

He also once again demanded the cessation of international sanctions and condemned the colonizing plans that he pointed out are forged from the United States. “The United States applies sanctions to make people suffer,” he reiterated.

In this sense, the president said that the official AN created the Anti-Blockade Law “that has allowed us to take steps so that Venezuela has its own model.”

During the transmission, 20 homes were delivered, “worthy homes”, in Unare, Caroní municipality of Bolívar state. Contact was also made with Guásimo, Táchira state, where the “Hugo Rafael Chávez Frías” High School was inaugurated, which will serve more than 730 secondary and diversified education students.

Maduro leans on the FAN

On the other hand, Nicolás Maduro said once again that, last year, the country signaled the new stage that he qualifies as that of the national renaissance, “the sovereign renaissance of the Venezuelan economy, productive, distributive, fair, socialist and diversified.

Likewise, he expressed that the National Armed Forces (FAN) “has planted itself in the combat against the internal enemies of the people, precisely those criminal gangs; We are in permanent combat, armed combat in order to defend the land, the water, the air, defend our homeland on all four sides from north to south, from east to west.”

For his part, the Minister of Defense, General in Chief Vladimir Padrino López, maintained that the revolution began with a change of consciousness, a change of conception, to see the Armed Forces “refounded in its doctrine, refounded in its territorial organizational deployment ”.

Maduro assured that since the Bolivarian revolution started by former President Hugo Chávez, work has been done to rescue independence, sovereignty and the construction of a new country model, a task in which he said the refounding of the FAN was key.

During the tour that the president made this Thursday through the “Government Expo 2023”, the Minister of Agriculture, Wilmar Castro Soteldo, said that the country’s agri-food sector has produced “473,320,000 tons of food in these 24 years of revolution, a investment in agro-support of 59,959 million dollars”.
