The migrants who were deported after having entered the US irregularly arrived on a US Eastern Airlines aircraft, which landed at the Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía.
A total of 235 Venezuelans returned to the country this Monday, January 19 after being deported on a flight from the United States. This is the second flight that lands directly from North America this year and after the capture of Nicolás Maduro and Cilia Flores.
The Ministry of the Interior, Justice and Peace specified that of the total migrants, 219 are men and 16 women, who, according to the authorities, “received comprehensive care from officials of the citizen security bodies” after landing in the country.

Last Friday, January 16, 199 migrants deported by the United States arrived, 18 women and 181 men, also operated by Eastern Airlines.
Caracas and Washington signed a migration agreement at the beginning of last year, which was maintained even amid tensions over the US military deployment in the Caribbean Sea and was resumed recently, almost two weeks after US military forces arrested Maduro and Flores.
