Officials from the Division Against Organized Crime of the Bolivarian National Police (PNB) arrested 22 young people who were involved in a shower of stones on the night of Wednesday, February 18, in the middle of the main road of the San Ramón community, located in San Carlos, Cojedes state.
Five of the detainees are adults and 17 are minors, who were reported by neighbors after causing disturbances while “playing carnival.” According to reports, they were throwing a “rain of stones”, which led to violent clashes and fights between those involved, causing inconvenience to passersby.
The authorities appeared at the scene, within the framework of the Safe Carnivals Operation 2026, arresting the citizens for having committed these acts, disturbing public order and the peace of the community; They were placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry, the body that will determine the criminal responsibility of the detainees.
