The First Trial Court of Aragua issued a sentence of 22 years and 6 months in prison against Luis Guillermo Girón Cardozo (51), for his responsibility in the sexual abuse of a 34-year-old woman with a disability, the Public Ministry reported.
The incident was detected on September 5, 2023 in the El Cortijo de Valles de Tucutunemo sector, Ezequiel Zamora municipality (Aragua).
That day the victim told her mother that the neighbor took advantage of it when they went out to work to enter the house, where he grabbed her and took her to a bed in a room and abused her.
Given this situation, the mother went the next day to file the respective complaint with the Cicpc. The officials detained the man at his home and handed him over to the Prosecutor’s Office.
At the trial, representatives of the Public Ministry ratified the accusation against the aggressor for the crime of a sexual act with a particularly vulnerable victim, says the Prosecutor’s Office report.
