22-month-old baby drowned in a ravine in Tolima; they are investigating whether it was due to carelessness

A tragedy occurred in the department of Tolima, due to the death of a 22-month-old baby who drowned in a ravine.

It is known that the girl was near her home in the La Morena area, with her mother.

Apparently, in a moment of curiosity, the baby moved away from her mother, who, in an apparent moment of carelessness, lost sight of her.

Minutes later, the mother began to look for her and, when she received no response, other relatives joined in to try to find her.

Amidst the anguish, the minor was finally located a few meters below.

The minor was immediately transferred to the San Rafael Hospital in El Espinal for medical attention.

However, medical personnel reported that the minor no longer had vital signs.

Authorities stressed the importance of keeping an eye on children in these places, as tragedies like this can occur.
