Magistrate Francisco Pérez Lora, president of the Court of Children and Adolescents of the National District and coordinating judge, stated that this judicial department concentrates 22.1% of the income from matters of the judicial system and manages approximately 70% of highly complex processes.
Pérez Lora presented a report that includes the main advances of the justice system in that district during the year 2025, which highlights achievements in the areas of zero arrears, full access and management characterized by institutional transparency.
He recognized that the proactive dynamics of work and continuous improvement of judicial services is what has allowed the restoration of citizen trust, supported by tangible and measurable results.
“During 2025, the Departmental Coordination of the National District developed a permanent work agenda with judges from the different courts, through in-person and virtual meetings, prioritizing coordination with presiding judges and coordinators. These actions were aimed at reducing judicial delays and guaranteeing effective access of users to justice services,” he reiterated.
The report highlights among the main achievements of 2025 an efficiency level of 102.7%, with 248,804 cases resolved compared to 242,187 filed, which made it possible not only to meet current demand, but also to settle historical liabilities.
He also said that they maintain a historical average solution rate of over 97%, evidence of a sustained and efficient management culture.
The report also highlights the management of approximately 70% of cases of high complexity and social sensitivity, the optimization of the Peace Courts, which reached the maximum efficiency of 123.9% for courts of that hierarchy, the significant progress in the Tribunales al Día program, which went from 30% in 2023 to 81% in 2025.
Other relevant aspects to which it alludes include the optimization strategy in the criminal and childhood and adolescent spheres through interdisciplinary tables with the Public Ministry, the Public Defense and other actors; the integration of aspiring justices of the peace and judges from other jurisdictions as operational support during liquidation days; and technological modernization through the digital case management system.
As a goal for the year 2026, the Departmental Coordination of the National District aims to achieve operational fullness, raising the percentage of courts up to date from 81% to 90–100%, reaffirming its commitment to efficient, accessible and transparent justice.
