Agents from the National Directorate for Drug Control (DNCD) and members of the Public Ministry seized 21.2 kilos of cocaine, in the middle of a monitoring and surveillance operation, carried out in a “Bomb” in Santo Domingo Este.
The authorities, after receiving intelligence reports that near a fuel station in the Nuevo Renacer sector they were selling and distributing narcotic substances, intercepted a man aboard a SUV, who upon noticing the presence of the authorities I try to escape.
Subsequently, the 50-year-old individual was arrested and transferred along with the vehicle to the Provincial Directorate of the DNCD, for security reasons.
Then, in the presence of a prosecutor, the Toyota Highlander SUV, blue, year 2018, was seized, occupying a cardboard box wrapped in adhesive tape in the back seat, inside which 19 packages of cocaine were confiscated.
The detainee, who will be identified in due time, was also seized with a Taurus pistol, millimeter caliber, with two magazines and several capsules, 12,800 Dominican pesos, 100 dollars, three exhibition plates, a cell phone, personal documents and other evidence.
“The Public Ministry and the DNCD point to the individual as an important distributor of narcotics in the eastern part of the capital.”
He will be submitted in the next few hours for violation of Law 50-88, on drugs and controlled substances. The 19 packages had a preliminary weight of 21.20 kilograms.
