A group of 207 deported migrants from the United States arrived this Friday, August 1 to Venezuela on a flight from Texas.
This is flight 53 of the return plan to the homeland, according to the Ministry of Interior, Justice and Peace on his Instagram account. The group consists of 160 men, 30 women, 7 boys and 10 girls.
At Maiquetía International Airport, migrants must fulfill a health and safety protocol. The Ministry explained that “they pass through a migratory tunnel, where each person is interviewed to review their case; Then they receive medical attention … and then be transferred to their homes by the security bodies ».
According to official figures, more than 9,000 nationals have returned since February.
