He National Jury of Elections (JNE) approved the new regulation that all candidates must follow to present their affidavit of resume (DJHV) in general elections 2026.
This regulation, which consists of 31 articles and a final complementary provision, details everything that must be included in the Single Form of Affidavit of Living Leaf (Fudjhv). There, applicants must consign important information such as:
- Work experience
- Studies carried out
- Trajectory as a party leader
- Firm convictions for malicious crimes (including those who have a conviction reservation)
If a candidate omits information about firm sentences for malicious crimes, It can be excluded from the electoral process up to 30 days before the day of the vote.
In addition, in severe cases, copies of the documents will be sent to the Public Ministry, which will evaluate whether a criminal process begins.
As if that were not enough, if it is detected that some declared fact is false, A fine that goes from 1 to 10 UIT will be imposed (that is, between 5,150 and 51,500 soles, according to the current UIT), depending on the severity of the case.
Finally, the JNE clarifies that any decision made by the special electoral jurors (JEE) can be appealed to the Plenary of the JNE, which will have the last word.
