This Friday the 2023 Electoral Nominations Committee was constituted and installed, with the aim of beginning the selection of the next rectors of the National Electoral Council (CNE), informed the deputy of the National Assembly (AN), Giuseppe Allessandrello.
In a television contact, the parliamentarian also indicated that the board of directors of the Electoral Nominations Committee was appointed in accordance with the law.
“Abiding by what the law indicates, in the session the Board of Directors was appointed with their positions, as president was the deputy Giuseppe Allessandrello,” he said.
The board of directors was integrated by: Giuseppe Alessandrello, as president of the Board of Directors; Deputy José Gregorio Correa, as vice president of the committee; and as secretary the engineer Julia Martínez.
He stressed that “it was a unanimous vote of the entire committee, we advanced the work of beginning the evaluation of the respective regulations for the operation of the committee, we also began the evaluation of the scale, which will be used to qualify or evaluate the citizens who apply for the position of rector of the electoral power”.
Likewise, he said that the Committee presented the work schedule anchored to each of the tasks indicated by the law on the execution time.

The deputy added that the Committee enters into “permanent work session, to fulfill each and every one of the tasks that the law indicates so that we can finally be presenting to the plenary session of the National Assembly the name of each one of the citizens and citizens who progress satisfactorily and become eligible to hold the position of rector of the National Electoral Council.”
Call for Tuesday
By Tuesday, the call for applications will be published in national circulation media in addition to the respective Official Gazette.
For his part, the vice president of the committee, the deputy to the AN, José Gregorio Correa, said that “as of next week, once the schedule is published, all Venezuelans who meet the requirements set forth in article 9 of the Organic Law of the Electoral Power may apply. This National Assembly is committed to restoring the confidence of the citizen in the electoral centers ”, he concluded.
