2023 and 2024: The electoral contests start with a ‘war’ of spectacular

2023 and 2024: The electoral contests start with a 'war' of spectacular

What do Sheinbaum, AMLO and Delgado say about the billboards?

Regarding these complaints, the head of government has declared that it is not an issue that worries her. On December 29, Sheinbaum described as something “natural” that towards the 2024 elections, some people lean towards the candidates for the presidential candidacy, however, he said that the shows of support are not exclusive to Morena, but also other parties also carry out similar activities.

“I think that I am the person who has the most complaints before the Institute (National Electoral) and there are not exactly more signs of support on one side than on the other, I am not worried, the truth is, rather, we take care of moving forward with the city “, said.

While President Andrés Manuel López Obrador also spoke about it and that same December 29, during the morning, He asked the morenistas not to fall into excesses and learn to limit themselves.

Just this January 4, the national president of Morena, Mario Delgado, also launched a petition so that the legislators who contracted said advertising spaces do not withdraw them but rather change their messages for advertising in favor of unity in Morena.

“I want to invite the deputies who put up spectacular not to take them down, if they have already been hired to leave them but to put a different message that supports Morena and that we say that with unity and mobilization we are going to ensure the transformation,” he said at a conference press release, in which Delfina Gómez was presented as the sole pre-candidate of Morena for the governorship of Edomex.

In Edomex… Morena throws herself against billboards by Del Moral

In contrast, and in the midst of the electoral contest for the governorship of the State of Mexico, Morena filed a complaint against the promotion of Alejandra del Moral, after several billboards that promote her image were placed in Edomex to promote an interview from a post.

On Thursday, January 5, through a video broadcast on social networks, Mario Delgado announced that Morena filed a formal complaint with the Electoral Institute of the State of Mexico (IEEM) for the placement of more than 300 billboards and 200 advertisements. exteriors in the public transport of Alejandra del Moral, pre-candidate of the PRI to the governorship of said entity.

“We want there to be fair play, we want the law to be respected. There cannot be any type of covert campaigns in favor of someone. We have filed a formal complaint with the IEEM for these billboards and public transport ads by Alejandra del Moral. Curiously, the electoral authorities have not said anything, despite the fact that we are days away from the formal start of this pre-campaign ”, she declared.

According to the Morenista leader, the value of these billboards exceeds 30 million pesos, “which is the pre-campaign ceiling established by the authority.” Therefore, he demanded that the state electoral institution “act immediately” and withdraw all the advertisements and billboards; in addition to being counted as pre-campaign expenses for Alejandra del Moral.

Alejandra del Moral’s billboards that simulate the cover of a magazine appeared in Naucalpan, on the Periférico, a few days before December 24.
