The Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard reported Friday that it intercepted a boat with 20 Venezuelan migrants, including six men, six women and eight minors, near the Cedros Peninsula, at the southwest end of the island of Trinidad.

According to a report by the Trinitense police, the coastguards intercepted the boat at 10:00 pm on Thursday and the detainees are between 25 and 41 years old, while minors are ages between 5 and 17 years.

Likewise, the agents found 32 white cheese cubes, four bags of meat, a cage with fourteen camachuelos birds, three transparent packages with a white powder substance and five buckwarm cubes and pork sausages.

The Trinidad Police Special Investigation Unit analyzed the substance powder and determined that it was not an illicit drug.
