$20 fine for the Burunga representative for participating in a protest demanding drinking water

After yesterday the representative of Burunga, Antonio Atencio, participated in a protest to demand drinking water in his corregimiento, he was taken before administrative justice by the National Police.

The official was sanctioned by the justice of the peace, with a fine of $20 for alteration of peaceful coexistence.

Other people who participated in the demonstration were also fined for affecting the right to free movement of third parties.

The Police highlighted that they removed 11 vehicles by tow truck, including a bus belonging to the Burunga community council, in which it is presumed that some of the people who participated in the protest were transferred to the height of the Centenario road.

Coordinations were made with the Comptroller General of the Republic, headquarters in Arraiján to remit the State property, (communal board bus).

They specified that the police action is framed in Article 29 of Law 16 numerals 1 and 8 that institutes the Community Justice of Peace.
