Elijah Pineapple. – The Specialized Land Border Security Corps (Cesfrot) detained this Tuesday, two women of Haitian nationality, along with a one-year-old girl, who intended to introduce 22,160 ammunition into Haiti irregularly.
According to a statement, members of Cesfrot, assigned to duty at the Coronel Elías Piña Border Operations Base, detained foreigners Milien Midrene Manessa and Fara Josef, aboard a white Lexus SUV.
In the vehicle they transported the amount of 22,160 capsules, including 12,000 7.62mm caliber ammunition, and 10,160 5.56mm caliber, highlights the Cesfront statement.
The women and the minor were taken to the aforementioned base of operations where the vehicle was seized, confiscating five cell phones, including three Samsung brand, one iPhone brand and one Krie Kraek brand, as well as the sum of 39,510.00 gourdes, 1,100.00 Dominican pesos and passport No.R10007902 in the name of Haitian national Yvanosky Joachim.
As for the detainees, together with the minor, the authorities indicated that the vehicle and the seized items are in the aforementioned border operations base, for the corresponding purposes.
Joachim, whose documentation was in the vehicle, is a deputy delegate of the Belladère commune, and according to information Manessa, one of the detainees, is his wife.
