In a joint operation between officials of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) and the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (Fanb), two women were captured after trying to introduce drugs into the Coro Penitentiary Community, located in the San Agustín sector of the Miranda municipality of Falcón state.
According to the official report, the citizens showed up at the inspection area with the intention of delivering food intended for several prisoners.
During the review process, it was learned that the anti-drug dogs from the canine unit of the penitentiary center positively detected the presence of the packages that the women were carrying in their private parts.
After a thorough inspection, officials found two wrappers of the alleged drug called cocaine weighing 0.472 kilograms.
This procedure is part of the reinforced security protocols implemented in the Falcón state prisons to prevent the entry of prohibited objects and substances that compromise the stability of the facility.
After the discovery, both women were immediately arrested by military officials.
The case was notified and placed under the orders of the Public Ministry, the agency that will be in charge of carrying out the pertinent investigations and presenting the corresponding charges for trafficking of psychotropic substances under Venezuelan legislation.
