19 intoxicated students reported at Barinas high school

A new case of mass poisoning was reported this Tuesday morning in the state of Barinas.

The incident occurred at the Luisa Cáceres de Arismendi high school, in Sabaneta, Alberto Arvelo Torrealba municipality.

According to information from the authorities, there are 19 affected students and workers, who presented symptoms of vomiting, high blood pressure, among others.

Officials indicated that the situation was due to the expansion of a toxic liquid.

It should be remembered that the “chroming” viral challenge consists of inhaling toxic gases found in chemical products such as: aerosols, deodorants, paints and insecticides, among others. The toxins cause symptoms such as dizziness, vomiting, breathing difficulties, heart failure and brain damage and even death.

The victims were taken by Civil Protection and Fire Department commissions to the Jesús Arnoldo Camacho Peña hospital.

The authorities of the entity carry out the investigation of the case.
