A group of 183 Venezuelans returned to the country this Thursday, January 22 after being deported from Phoenix, Arizona, for entering the United States territory irregularly. The transfer was made through Eastern Airlines.
Of this group, 151 are men and 32 are women, “all ready to begin a new stage,” highlighted the Great Mission Return to the Homeland in a publication on Instagram. This operation represents the third mass deportation flight from the US after the military attacks and the capture of Nicolás Maduro on January 3.

On January 18, 235 migrants deported by the United States arrived, 16 women and 219 men, also operated by Eastern Airlines.
Upon arrival, the citizens were received by the authorities, security forces and the Red Cross to undergo various interviews and a review of their background, as has occurred with similar deportation flights.
For its part, the Ministry of Interior Relations, Justice and Peace qualified the procedure as a “humanitarian commitment to ensure the return of Venezuelans home.” It was insisted that this return not only implies the physical return of migrants, but also the “possibility of reintegrating into national development” and beginning a new stage within the country.
