The 1st Trial Court of Aragua sentenced Matías Enrique Salazar Moure (59) to 17 years and two months in prison for exercising psychological violence and sexual violence against his 52-year-old ex-partner, a fact detected on January 24, 2020 in Maracay, Aragua state, reported the Public Ministry.
Likewise, he was convicted of psychological violence against his 20-year-old daughter and two other women aged 58 and 44, the statement details.
That day, the former couple went with officials from the Aragua Women’s Institute before the 25th Prosecutor’s Office of the aforementioned entity, in which they stated that Salazar Moure kept her deprived of her liberty for 31 years inside an apartment, located in the urbanization Los Mangos on Constitución Avenue, Maracay.
According to what was expressed by the woman, the perpetrator manipulated and deceived her into leaving her home in the town of Naguanagua, Carabobo state. Likewise, the man convicted today kept the other women, who lived in the same urbanization and in another sector of the aforementioned entity, manipulated and away from his relatives, says the Prosecutor’s Office.
After the fact was verified and after several expert reports carried out by officials of the Cicpc, the Scientific Technical Unit and the Victim Attention Unit of the Public Ministry, the attacker was arrested.
At the trial hearing, representatives of the Prosecutor’s Office ratified the accusation against the man for the crimes of psychological violence, threats and sexual violence to the detriment of his former partner, as well as for the first criminal offense to the detriment of his daughter and the other two victims.
The 1st Trial Court of Aragua handed down the aforementioned sentence against Salazar Moure, which he will serve in the Aragua Penitentiary Center, located in Tocorón, of that entity, detailed the Public Ministry.
