1,632 FGR officials are investigated for various crimes

The Office of the Attorney General of the Republic (FGR) investigates 1,338 officials of that institution for acts of corruption, 270 for abuse of authority and 24 for forced disappearance, in acts committed or reported from December 2018 to October 2022.

The answer was that 270 are being investigated for abuse of authority, 24 more for forced disappearance and 1,338 for acts of corruption. He explained that “it is important to point out that the conduct ‘harassment’ is not typified in the Federal Penal Code, or, provided for in a special law in which this prosecutor’s office is involved in its investigation and prosecution; therefore, there is no information to report”.
