Santo Domingo-. The prosecution of the province of La Altagracia investigates the death of a 16-year-old student, whose body was found yesterday Monday in the bathroom of her house, and her father believes that it was an abortion that, supposedly, one of her teachers would have caused her.
The victim was identified as Esmeralda Richiez Castillo, who, according to her father, Eligio Richiez Castillo, went out on Monday night with some schoolmates and returned home at 11:00 p.m.
The death of the student occurred at her residence, located in the Vista Alegre sector, in the city of Higüey, in the east of the country.
«When she returned, I noticed her very pale and bloody. I asked her partner if she had been raped. My daughter told me that nothing had happened and that she would go to bed. The next day we found her dead in the bathroom and covered in blood,” said the victim’s father.
She said there’s a voice note her daughter sent to one of her classmates, telling her “he put it in me and I’m bleeding.” She also believes that she was pregnant and was given an abortion pill.

As he stated, the professor, who is on the run, would have given him the abortion pill, something that has not yet been confirmed by medical examination.
His corpse was taken to the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (Inacif), in San Pedro de Macorís, also in the east.
