Child protection
This return day was also part of the celebration of the second anniversary of the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on the protection of Children and Adolescents, signed between the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Republic of Colombia.
This bilateral agreement is fundamental, because it facilitates and expedites the necessary procedures for the restitution and protection of children’s rights in both territories, which ensure that family reunification processes are carried out in a safe and timely manner.
The arrival of these 16 children is a testimony of how diplomatic agreements translate into concrete actions that positively impact the lives of Venezuelan families.
