With the objective of carrying out the investigation of the accident, elements of the National Guard and the Secretariat of Public Security of Yucatan (SSP) cordoned off the area.
The Public Ministry for its part lifted the bodies to transfer them to the Forensic Medical Service for identification.
The State Attorney General’s Office opened an investigation folder to demarcate responsibilities.
This morning, Governor Díaz Mena reported that he accompanied the families of the victims in the SEMEFO.
“I expressed our solidarity and support for the recognition and transfer of their loved ones to their communities,” he said.
He explained that he talked via telephone with Governor Layda Sansores: “We are accompanying families to have the support and facilities they need.”
