14 out of 100 people test positive for Covid-19 in Santa Cruz

This Thursday 414 new Covid-19 infections were registered in the department, reported Headquarters. The positivity rate is 14%, which marks a decrease from the previous week. 75% of the cases, that is 310, are found in Santa Cruz de la Sierra.

Jhonny Ruiz, Headquarters epidemiologist, indicated that five people died from the coronavirus, four of them were adults over 60 years of age. The doctor explained that two of these people did not have any dose anticovid, two had received two doses and the fifth had received four doses.

11 people admitted to intensive care were reported and nine patients connected to a respirator, as a result of severe forms of the disease.

Regarding vaccination, The Headquarters registers 2,241 doses applied in the day. Currently 75% of the population has received the first dose against Covid-19; 64%, the second and 20%, the third.
