Official figures revealed that for the fourth consecutive day there were no deaths from covid-19 and the number of deaths remains at 5,709
The Minister of Communication and Information, Freddy Ñáñez, published in his social media the health statistics of the behavior of covid-19 during the day of Wednesday, May 4, 2022, in which 14 new cases were detected in the country, one of them from Turkey and which was detected in the state of Vargas (La Guaira) .
The remaining 13 community cases were evidenced in six of the 24 federal entities of Venezuela, where Bolívar was the one that registered the most new patients with this disease, counting five. It is followed by Mérida (4), Barinas, Zulia, Aragua and Carabobo with only one case in each of those territories.
That leaves Táchira, Trujullo, Falcón, Lara, Apure, Portuguesa, Yaracuy, Cojedes, Guárico, Capital District (Caracas), Vargas, Miranda, Anzoátegui, Amazonas, Monagas, Delta Amacuro, Sucre and Nueva Esparta out of the daily report as they do not report new cases of covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

Already seeing the state of Bolívar in detail, four of the five cases that it registered were located in the municipality of Angostura del Orinoco, while in the jurisdiction of Sucre of the entity the other new patient was taken.
In this sense, the historical numbers that Venezuela reports were slightly modified and in the 780 days that the pandemic has been in the country, a total of 522,564 cases have been recorded since March 13, 2020. Along with this figure, it is reported of a recovery rate from covid-19 of 99% with 515,819 people who have overcome the disease.
Currently, according to official numbers, it is noted that there are 1,036 active cases of the virus in the country, of which 140 are treated in the public network of hospitals; 96 in the Comprehensive Diagnostic Centers (CDI), 51 patients confined in private clinics and 749 people are in home isolation or as the Executive calls it: “supervised community care”.

Of the total number of patients infected with covid-19 in Venezuela, some 646 are asymptomatic; 307 have mild respiratory failure; 56 have moderate intensity difficulties in breathing and 27 are confined in intensive care units due to the seriousness of their condition.
For the fourth consecutive day, the authorities have no record of deaths from covid-19 and therefore, the death toll has stabilized at 5,709.
