Saint Dominic. Within the framework of the immigration interdiction operations that are carried out in the border zonehe Dominican Republic Army (ERD) arrested a total of 126 undocumented Haitianswho were trying to enter the dominican territory through different points of Dajabón.
In a first intervention, members of the ERDbelonging to the 10th Infantry Battalionintercepted in the area of Massacre River to a group of 70 foreigners in irregular immigration statusmade up of 60 men, 7 women and 3 minors.
In a second operation, carried out in the sector Chacuey Hillmembers of the Dominican Republic Armyassigned to the detachment of that town, detained other 56 Haitian nationals with irregular immigration status. This group was made up of 48 men, 7 women and 1 minor.
The detained foreigners were delivered to the General Directorate of Migration (DGM) for the corresponding legal purposesas part of the immigration control operations that intensify in the Dominican-Haitian border.
