12-year-old adolescent is honored in Sapallanga for outstanding academic achievements

Huancayo: 12-year-old boy enters university and is recognized in his district

At just 12 years old, Tayler Steven Gerrard was recognized in the district of Zapallanga, in a tribute that highlighted his academic career and achievements, carrying high the name of his community.

The recognition highlights his discipline, effort and dedication to study, as well as the family support that has been key in his training, becoming an example for other students his age.

Regarding his participation in the recent admission exam, the National University of Central Peru (UNCP) reported that the minor applied in the free participant modality during the application process. First Selection 2026which does not contemplate the assignment or reservation of vacancies, also specifying that he did not obtain admission to the university.

The university explained that more than 700 students participated in this modality, whose objective is to measure the academic performance of the applicants with a view to future applications.
