The mothers and fathers of the missing students, as well as companions of the Rural Normal ‘Raúl Isidro Burgos’ in Ayotzinapa, Guerrero, will lead the mobilization that will begin at 4:00 p.m. from the Angel of Independence to the capital Zócalo.
This will be the first march in memory of the 43 normalists with Claudia Sheinbaum as president of Mexico, after her predecessor, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, recognized at the end of her six -year period that the Ayotzinapa case was not clarified, so she left the slope to the current president.
“Until the last moment of our government we will continue to search, it is an open file and desire with all my heart that the clarification is achieved by the next president, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo. This shameful and unfortunate matter should never be closed,” López Obrador wrote in a letter addressed to the parents of the normalists, which the then president announced during his morning conference of September 25, 2024.
López Obrador argued that there was not enough evidence to indicate the participation of the Army as responsible for the forced disappearance of Guerrero’s normalists.
Likewise, a political act in the wake of the fallen in Iguala, Guerrero, at 12:00 hours, will be held on Saturday, September 27.
