100 killed in US attack

The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (Psuv) Diosdado Cabello, reported in a special broadcast of his program Con el Mazo Dando, that the death toll as a result of the United States military attack against Venezuela amounted to 100 people, including civilians and soldiers.

Cabello explained that, although it was not appropriate to start his program this week, “the circumstances warrant it,” after the illegal attack perpetrated by the United States against four states of the country that ended with the kidnapping of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro and the first lady, Cilia Flores.

In this sense, the Minister of the Interior, Justice and Peace also paid tribute to the victims who offered their lives for the defense of the homeland and for the protection of President Nicolás Maduro and the first lady Cilia Flores.

“In these situations of attacks, the first casualty is the truth because manipulations come, campaigns to misinform and make people believe things that are not happening and have not happened,” he said, while highlighting the barbarity and criminality of this attack.

“Venezuela was the victim of a barbaric attack (…) No one is going to cover it up because there is no way and today the world is fully discovering it,” he said.

Regarding the presidential couple, he highlighted their courage, their fortitude and the bravery they had until the moment they were kidnapped. He recalled that when he found out that they wanted to take only President Maduro, his wife, Cilia Flores, asked to be taken with him, which is why he highlighted her gesture of deep love and loyalty.

In another vein, Cabello reiterated his full support “for comrade Delcy Eloina Rodríguez Gómez, appointed president in charge of the Republic following the kidnapping of Nicolás Maduro.

“I’m not just saying Diosdado, the entire country… political and business sectors, the Bolivarian National Armed Forces… the entire country,” said the socialist leader, who asked the people to accompany and deepen the revolution in this difficult stage.

“She did not ask for this, but she is working to promote the prosperity of the country and to bring back brother Nicolás Maduro and companion Cilia Flores,” he said.

He recognized the people who maintained their integrity, calm and conscience. “The people remained firm, in peace, with a lot of awareness and a lot of strength,” said the political leader.
