The Public Ministry charged three crimes against the 10 officials of the Ministry of Habitat and Housing allegedly linked to a criminal structure that sold apartments from the Great Venezuela Housing Mission in dollars, according to judicial sources.
The detainees were presented before Control Court 2 of the Metropolitan Area of Caracas where representatives of the Public Ministry charged them with the alleged commission of delay or intentional omission of functions and improper access or sabotage to protected systems, crimes contemplated in the Anti-Corruption Law.
They were also charged with conspiracy to commit a crime, a crime provided for in the Law against Organized Crime and Financing of Terrorism, the source explained.
Ministry of Housing officials evicted apartments occupied by beneficiaries of the Great Housing Mission and then reassigned them to those who paid between 5 and 7 thousand dollars, according to investigations.
