10 men arrested who dismantled PDVSA gas pipelines in Anzoátegui

Ten alleged members of the Structured Group of Organized Crime (GEDO) “Los Monaguenses” were detained by officials of the Anzoátegui State Police (Polianzoátegui), when they sectioned a 12-inch gas pipeline corridor, which feeds PDVSA’s light gas production wells. , in the operational area of ​​Campo Dación in the Freites municipality.

According to the information provided by the Director General of the state police, Chief Commissioner Power Cano Nieto, the capture took place on Tuesday night at the facilities of the El Arco Endogenous Cooperative where they were dismantling a 12-inch gas pipeline that feeds the wells. of light gas production belonging to PDVSA.

During the procedure, a gray Toyota Hilux vehicle, license plate A96AD0W, was retained, as well as a Mack heavy-duty vehicle, chuto type, license plate A69CG8G, and a yellow Orinoco brand trailer, license plate A80AX9H.

Likewise, twenty 12-inch pipes, six oxygen cylinders, a domestic gas cylinder and seven cell phones were seized.

The detainees were identified as: Daniel José Torres Rivera (37), Orangel Rafael Caranama (45), Argenis Rafael Urbina García (36), Andy Javier Herrera Martínez (22), Ronier Alexander Maita (28), José Adrián Mogollón (38) , Pedro Eduardo García (25), Luis David Carrillo Jiménez (19), José Del Carmen Vásquez (75) and Edixon José Rojas Rodríguez (42).

The police chief added that the detainees are allegedly part of this criminal group that is dedicated to dismantling facilities belonging to the oil industry in the eastern part of the country, for their subsequent commercialization.

The procedure was put to the order of the Fourth Prosecutor of the Public Ministry.
