The Liverpool Uruguayan made merits this Sunday to stay with the Super Cup of local football by defeating 1-0 the National in a match in which most of the time the blacks were with ten men on the field.
Five minutes into the game, Liverpool took the lead when Rodrigo Rivero fired a powerful shot with his right foot from outside the area that goalkeeper Sergio Rochet could not dominate and Gonzalo Nápoli ended up sentencing.

The first half ended with a well-deserved result for the blue and black despite having been left with 10 players.
In the first minutes of the second half, Nacional adjusted some of its pieces and turned to the attack to put pressure on its rival with different dangerous plays. The first clear scoring opportunity for Nacional came in the 58th minute when the player Camilo Cándido went one-on-one with the goalkeeper Lentinelly who was able to clear the shot with his left foot.
However, Liverpool with its ten men stood up in defense against all the variants, although without order, that Nacional raised in view of the end of regulation time. Thus, the referee whistled the end of the match and Liverpool was left with their first title of the year against a National favorite who, despite showing dangerous plays, failed to score.
In this way, those from the Belvedere neighborhood add their second Super Cup to their showcases and both defeating Nacional and with this trophy the local football gave its initial shot ahead of the Apertura Tournament.
