The Rayados de Monterrey beat Club América by the minimum with a target from Funes Mori
Javier Aguirre’s Rayados de Monterrey won the Concacaf Champions League by narrowly beating Santiago Solari’s Club América in the final (1-0).
In the end, the early goal of Rogelio Funes Mori was worth it, who in the 8th minute took advantage of a defensive blunder by Sebastián Cáceres to score and give the northern team the title.
The victory of Aguirre’s team, the fifth in its history, breaks America’s undefeated in the Concacaf finals, who had always won the decisive duel to add seven titles, being the team that has the most Concachampions.
The victory will allow Rayados to participate in the FIFA Club World Cup to be held at the beginning of January.
