He Los Angeles FC put a foot and a half in the semifinals of the CONCACAF Champions League by winning 3-0 this Wednesday in the field of Vancouver in the first leg of the quarterfinals with three goals in the space of ten minutes, between 55 and 65.
A ‘double’ from Gabonese Denis Bouanga and a goal from Ghanaian Kwadwo Opoku launched the Los Angeles team, current MLS champion. Bouanga is in tremendous form and has already scored three goals in MLS and five in the CONCACAF Champions League.
The Gabonese also offered the assistance for Opoku’s 2-0. The Mexican Carlos Vela gave Bouanga the decisive pass for the target that broke the equality.
The second leg will be played next Tuesday, April 11 in Los Angeles. MLS took three teams to the quarterfinals and on Tuesday the Philadelphia Union won 1-0 at home against Atlas.
