A goal by Vitor Roque in the 96th minute gave the Athletico Paranaense the 0-1 away win against Students from La Plata this Thursday and thus achieved the last place in the semifinals of the Libertadores Cup.
A precise header from the striker allowed the visiting team to score the only goal of the series and reach the semi-final, where they will face a Palmeiras who has just eliminated his compatriot Atlético Mineiro on penalties.
Estudiantes was the one that made the greatest wear and tear since the start of the match in search of the difference after having achieved a goalless draw in the match played last Thursday at the Arena da Baixada.
With a very agile Pablo Piatti and a Fernando Zuqui dominating the midfield, the locals opted to reach Bento’s goal with Leandro Díaz as a great reference in the area.
