He America Mexican tied this Wednesday without goals with the Olympia Honduran and qualified for the round of 16 of the Champions Cup of Concacaf, in a match with few offensive actions. América had won the first leg 2-1 and with that they stayed alive and eliminated a dedicated Olympia, who stopped the powerful opponent at home, 2,240 meters above sea level.
In the first half, América had possession of the ball, 77-33 in their favor, but there were no shots on goal. For the second half, Andre Jardine, coach of the Águilas, sent Brazilian Raphael Veiga onto the field in search of goals. He was about to achieve his goal in the 49th minute, when goalkeeper Edrick Menjívar saved his team from a right-footed shot by Chilean Víctor Dávila, following a pass from Kevin Álvarez.

Olimpia responded with a long-distance shot by Edwin Rodríguez in the 56th minute, saved by goalkeeper Luis Ángel Malagón. América increased the attack, Brian Rodríguez missed a good offensive opportunity in the 78th minute and Veiga missed from outside the area in the 88th minute, when, frustrated, the fans sang the homophobic cry that is often repeated by fans from various parts of Mexico, without any consequences.
