THE SELECTIONS OF Haiti and Honduras They tied this Friday without goals in the first game of group C of the final phase of the Concacaf Qualifiers for the 2026 World. The party was played in Curacao for the situation of violence that Haiti lives. The first half was an alternate domain, with a very fast game of both teams, although in the first minutes the initiative was brought by Haiti.
Both rivals sought to surprise with long passes, mostly overlooked, multiplying work on their defenses. Honduras’s first auction reached the 16th minute in Romell Quioto legs after a corner kick. The Haitian team had a clear arrival at 17, but Jean Bellegarde finished off the Honduran goal defended by Edrick Menjívar.
Honduras settled better and in 18 the Haiti goalkeeper, Johnny Placide, sent the corner kick a powerful shot by Jorge Benguché, one of his three men in Punta, along with Quicto and Luis Palma. The Central American team continued to insist on the extremes, but their attackers were not accurate, nor the Caribbean on the few occasions they had in the rival area.
The second episode was also even, with Honduras making a better game in the first minutes, although Haiti had more arrivals and auctions to goal. In the 55th minute Romell Quioto shook the horizontal of the Haitian goal after a center from the left of Luis Palma.

Honduras turned to the attack in the last minutes, but the effort was in vain and returns from Curacao at least one point.
